Amazon announced that Echo is coming to 28 more countries and then is music streaming service. The service is called Amazon Music Unlimited, and it offers a little over 40 million songs and thousands of playlists and stations.

The countries that the service and Amazon Echo are currently expanding to add Netherlands, Luxembourg, Finland, Belgium, Sweden, Greece, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Colombia, Iceland,  Peru, Poland, Portugal, and more.

Commands like “Alexa, play music” work on voice assistant-enabled devices, and Alexa will generate personalized stations built with data from machine learning. The service plays on the Amazon Music app on iOS, Android, desktop, and fire TV.

Amazon Music Unlimited has 3 plan options: the Echo plan, that lets you listen on a single device; the Individual plan, that lets you add up to 10 devices; and the Family plan, where six people will stream in the same household. Amazon Echo has been increasing to a number of countries this year, including India and Canada.

Dussehra Festival in India and Details

Dussehra marks one of the most important festivals in the Hindu calendar.

Festival Details:

     One of the large festivals celebrated in most parts of India is Dussehra. The festival is celebrated with zest and festivities because it also marks the start of the winter season when the long, unbearable, hot summer. Dussehra marks the victory of Ram over the demon king Ravana, and therefore the rescue of his wife Sita.

     In north India, gigantic effigies of the ten-headed Ravana and his brothers ar set aflame amidst bursting of crackers. Fairs ar typically persisted this occasion with lots to eat, purchase and enjoy.Dussehra means that the Tenth Day, being the tenth day of the bright half of Ashvin. these days is also called Vijayadashmi, or the victory Tenth, due to the victory of Ram over Ravana.

Celebrations:

     Dussehra is one of the significant Hindu festivals, celebrated with a lot of joy and happiness within the entire country.

     The occasion marks the triumph of Lord Ram over Ravana, the victory of excellent over evil. brightly decorated tableaux and processions depiction various episodes from Ram's life ar taken out. On the tenth day, or the Vijayadasami, colossal effigies of Ravana, his brother Kumbhkarna and son Meghnad ar placed in vast open areas. Actors dressed as Ram, his consort Sita, and brother Lakshman arrive and shoot arrows of fireside at these effigies, that ar filled with firecrackers.

Rituals:

     As Dussehra is preceded by the Navratri or the 9 days of the worship of god Durga, some rituals associated with the goddess also are carried out that day.

     The rituals of Durga Puja involve the standard puja of goddess Durga along with Lord Ram.

Legends:

     On these days in Satyug, Ram (the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu), killed the good demon and king of Lanka, Ravan, who had abducted Ram's wife Sita. Ram, along, along with his brother Lakshman, follower Hanuman, and an army of monkeys fought an excellent battle for 10 days to rescue his wife Sita.

     According to another story, Kautsa, the young son of Devdatt, a Brahmin, was living within the town of Paithan. after studying under the guidance of Rishi Varatantu, he insisted on his guru acceptive a gift, or gurudakshina. initially the guru refused however later asked for a hundred and forty million gold coins, 100 million for every of the topics instructed.

    The obedient  student visited the King Raghu to ask for the money, because the king was renowned for his generosity. within 3 days the king created the God of Wealth Kuber build a rain of gold coins near the shanu and apati trees.

    when giving the promised amount to the guru, Kautsa distributed the rest of the coins among the needy on the day of Dussehra. Even today, in Ayodhya, the capital of King Raghu, folks loot the leaves of the apati trees and gift to every different as sone or gold.In ancient times kings used the feast of Dussehra to cross the frontier and fight against their neighboring kingdoms.

      This border crossing is thought as seema ollanghan and Dussehra marked the beginning of the war season.

     This was also the day to worship the weapons. according to legend, Arjuna, one of the Pandav princes, hid his weapons in a very shami tree once the Pandavs were banished into the forests.

    when one year he returned from the forest and on the day of Dussehra, he retrieved his weapons and worshipped them along with the shami tree. hence the custom of worshiping weapons on this day started.

Regional Celebrations:

     In north India the Dussehra celebration includes the Ram Lila that consists of plays, recitations and music that recall the life of the legendary hero, Ram. In Delhi, several amateur troupes perform Ram Lila based on the epic story of Ramayana throughout the nine-day worship of goddess Durga. On the tenth day, elaborate processions lead to the Ram Lila grounds wherever immense cracker-stuffed effigies of the demon Ravana and his brother and son explode to the cheers of thousands of spectators.

    Kullu, a small city in Himachal Pradesh, is witness to unique Dussehra celebrations. Since the times of maharajah Ranjit Singh, Dussehra celebrations here begin 3 days when they are doing within the rest of India.

     On the primary day of the festival, the idol of Raghunathji is mounted on a splendid rath (chariot), and pulled from its permanent place within the Dholpur maidan to a different a part of the meadow.      In Tamil Nadu, the first 3 days ar dedicated to the worship of Lakshmi, goddess of Wealth and Prosperity, the next 3 days to Saraswati, goddess of Learning and arts and therefore the last 3 days to Shakti (Durga).

     In Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, families decorate dolls (Bommai Kolu) and prepare an elaborate unfold of lamps and flowers. women traditionally exchange gifts of coconuts, clothes and sweets.

     Vijayadasami is additionally considered an auspicious occasion for kids to commence their education in classical dance and music, and to pay homage to their teachers.

     In Mysore, it's celebrated with a pomp and pageantry reminiscent of medieval times. In bengal and other parts of eastern India, Dussehra is celebrated as Durga Puja. Devotees wear new clothes and celebrate with music, dance and drama. On the last day, pictures of the warrior goddess ar taken out in procession and immersed in a very river or the ocean.

KUSHMUNDA: She is considered the creator of the universe. it's believed that Kushmunda created the universe through a bout of laughter and created it verdant with vegetation. Hence, the color of the day is green.
Day 5:
SKAND MATA: She is that the mother of skanda, or Karthikeya, UN agency was chosen by the gods as their commander-in-chief within the war against the demons. She is accompanied by skanda in his infant kind. the color of the day is gray, because it indicates the vulnerability of a mother who will turn into a storm cloud when the requirement arises to protect her kid.
Day 6:
KATYAYANI: Katyayani was born to the good sage, Kata, as an avatar of Durga. wearing orange, she exhibits immense courage. Hence, the color of the day is orange.
Day 7:

maha GAURI: maha Gauri is intelligent, peaceful and calm. it's same that due to her long austerities within the deep forests of the Himalayas, her color transformed from white to back. However, later, when Shiva cleaned her with the waters of the Ganga, her body regained its beauty and she came to be known as maha Gauri, which means extremely white. the color of the day is pink, denoting hope and a fresh start.

Xiaomi’s Mi A1 is a flagship Android One phone for India

Xiaomi has announced the Mi A1, a new flagship phone largely focused on the Indian market with the tagline of “created by Xiaomi, powered by Google.” It has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, a metal body, and a dual-camera system that includes a secondary telephoto lens for 2x zooming and portraits with shallow depth of field.
If that sounds familiar, well, Xiaomi isn’t shy about it:
Like the near-identical Mi 5X announced for China recently, the Mi A1 has Qualcomm’s increasingly ubiquitous Snapdragon 625 processor — which we’ve found to strike a great balance between performance and battery life — and a fairly standard 3080mAh battery. The phone charges over USB-C, unlike Xiaomi’s more budget-orientated offerings, and the company is even including a custom 380V charger that it says is designed to handle India’s frequent power spikes.

But the Mi A1’s most distinctive feature is its software: it runs stock Android, not Xiaomi’s own MIUI layer, and is part of Google’s Android One program. Android One launched three years ago with a focus on India as Google aimed to codify the Android experience for low-end smartphones. It hasn’t been a huge success, but Google undoubtedly wants to expand the program to a wider range of products to ensure that people continue to have access to the latest versions of its software and services.



To that end, the Mi A1 will get Android Oreo by the end of the year, and Xiaomi says it’ll be “one of the first” phones to get Android P — which we haven’t heard anything about — in 2018.

The Raai Laxmi starrer has plenty of skin show with some dark undertones

After the steamy teaser of 'Julie 2', fans of Raai Laxmi were eagerly awaiting the film's trailer. Now, the trailer of the actress' debut Bollywood film is finally here and it is as spiced up as one can expect.


The trailer follows the story of Julie, a girl who aspires to be an actress. However, she has to deal with lecherous men who ask her for sexual favours in order to become a "superstar". In between all this, there is also some group which is threatening to harm and kill her. Overall, it looks like a dark tale of a woman stuck in a web of show business. While the theme is somewhat grim, there is plenty of skin show and bold scenes. Raai Laxmi has definitely taken things up a notch with 'Julie 2'.


Directed by Deepak Shivdasani, 'Julie 2' is all set to hit theatres on 6 Octorber 2017.

'Preserve rule of law': Obama's inauguration letter to Trump revealed

Former president left letter for Trump in which he urged his successor to uphold the rule of law and separation of powers
Barack Obama warned Donald Trump to uphold the rule of law and not undermine the “international order” in a newly revealed letter from the 44th US president to his successor.
The former president gave Trump three key pieces of advice in a letter he left in the Oval Office when he departed the White House. The letter was published on Sunday by CNN.
“We’ve both been blessed, in different ways, with great good fortune,” Obama told his successor. “Not everyone is so lucky. It’s up to us to do everything we can [to] build more ladders of success for every child and family that’s willing to work hard.”
Turning to international relations, Obama told Trump, who had embraced isolationism throughout his campaign: “American leadership in this world really is indispensable.”
He added: “It’s up to us, through action and example, to sustain the international order that’s expanded steadily since the end of the Cold War, and upon which our own wealth and safety depend.”
Thirdly, Obama urged his successor to protect “those democratic institutions and traditions – like rule of law, separation of powers, equal protection and civil liberties – that our forebears fought and bled for”.
“Regardless of the push and pull of daily politics, it’s up to us to leave those instruments of our democracy at least as strong as we found them,” Obama wrote in the letter.
In January, Trump called the letter “beautiful” and said he would cherish it, adding: “We won’t even tell the press what’s in that letter.”
The relationship between the two presidents has grown increasingly fractious after an initial attempt to build bridges on both sides quickly collapsed.
Obama invited his successor to the White House a few days after the election, telling Trump: “We now are going to do everything we can to help you succeed, because if you succeed, then the country succeeds.”
Trump, who seemed somewhat daunted at the meeting, said he had “great respect” for the president he had excoriated on the campaign trail, and called Obama a “very good man”.
“The conversations have been cordial,” Obama said in January, following news the two had had a handful of phone calls. “He has been open to suggestions, and the main thing that I’ve tried to transmit is that there’s a difference between governing and campaigning.”
When the New Yorker’s David Remnick asked Obama how that White House meeting with Trump had gone, however, the former president “smiled thinly, and said, ‘I think I can’t characterise it without...’ Then he stopped himself and said that he would tell me ‘at some point over a beer – off the record’.”
Within days of Trump’s inauguration, Obama had broken his silence to criticise his successor for the first time, with a spokesman responding to Trump’s first attempt at a travel ban by saying: “The president [Obama] fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion.”
Their relationship was strained further when Trump claimed in March that Obama had been tapping his phones during the election campaign. The president has never offered any evidence for the tweeted claim, and this week his own Justice Department stated in a court filing that its national security division and the FBI “confirm that they have no records related to wiretaps as described by the March 4, 2017 tweets”.
More recently, Obama responded to Trump’s heavily criticised remarks equating neo-Nazis with the protesters opposing them in Charlottesville, Virginia, with a series of tweets quoting Nelson Mandela. “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion,” the former president posted.
By contrast, Trump continues to use social media to needle his predecessor, last month retweeting an allegedly antisemitic supporter’s set of images entitled “The best eclipse ever!” which showed Trump’s face gradually obscuring that of Obama.
The letter from Obama is not the only clue we have about advice he has given his successor. The New York Times reported in March that Obama had told Trump that North Korea would be the biggest challenge he would face – something that seems all the more prescient following this weekend’s apparent test of a powerful hydrogen bomb that can be loaded on to an intercontinental ballistic missile. 
It is something of a tradition for a departing president to leave a missive for the person taking over from him. 
George W Bush’s letter to Obama was addressed: “To #44, from #43.” George Bush Sr’s wished Bill Clinton well, and it went viral during last year’s election campaign. “Your success now is our country’s success,” Bush wrote. “I am rooting hard for you.”
Ronald Reagan simply told his former vice-president Bush: “Don’t let the turkeys get you down.”

Congratulations on a remarkable run. Millions have placed their hopes in you, and all of us, regardless of party, should hope for expanded prosperity and security during your tenure.

This is a unique office, without a clear blueprint for success, so I don’t know that any advice from me will be particularly helpful. Still, let me offer a few reflections from the past 8 years.

First, we’ve both been blessed, in different ways, with great good fortune. Not everyone is so lucky. It’s up to us to do everything we can [to] build more ladders of success for every child and family that’s willing to work hard.

Second, American leadership in this world really is indispensable. It’s up to us, through action and example, to sustain the international order that’s expanded steadily since the end of the Cold War, and upon which our own wealth and safety depend.

Third, we are just temporary occupants of this office. That makes us guardians of those democratic institutions and traditions -- like rule of law, separation of powers, equal protection and civil liberties -- that our forebears fought and bled for. Regardless of the push and pull of daily politics, it’s up to us to leave those instruments of our democracy at least as strong as we found them.

And finally, take time, in the rush of events and responsibilities, for friends and family. They’ll get you through the inevitable rough patches.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi takes oath as cabinet minister


NEW DELHI: Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi who was elevated to the cabinet rank today said he will try to fulfil the responsibility endowed on him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with honesty and strength.
Naqvi (60) is among the four junior ministers who were given a cabinet berth, in a major rejig of the Modi government.
"It is our responsibility to live up to the expectations of the prime minister," he told reporters here after taking the oath.
On being asked whether his elevation was an endorsement of his performance as a Union minister, the BJP leader said, "I am a worker of the party. From time to time whatever responsibility the party gives me, I try to fulfil it with honesty and strength".
Naqvi, the lone Muslim face in the Modi cabinet, said priority of the government was to empower the weaker sections of society and work towards the goal of achieving 'New India'.
